Arbitration

By agreement, entered into before or after a dispute arises, the parties can appoint a neutral third person - the Arbitrator - to take evidence and determine the dispute. The practice of Arbitration is controlled by the Commercial Arbitration Act and the Courts effectively supervise the behaviour of arbitrators. Arbitration offers the parties great flexibility in the procedures to be used for the resolution of their dispute. Used appropriately, Arbitration can be quick, confidential and economical.
