Mediation is a method of dispute resolution in which a neutral third party - the Mediator - assists the parties to explore the issues and find their own solution to the dispute.

Ian Lulham has acted as a Mediator since 1993, and has conducted hundreds of mediations in Supreme Court, County Court and VCAT proceedings, as well as in disputes where legal proceedings have not been commenced. Mr Lulham is also a Conciliator under various industry schemes.

Mr Lulham is the Chair of the Law Institute's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, and has written and presented papers on mediation issues.
